Eriko believes that everything has its own unique pulse and heartbeat. She strives to capture the essence of events and create a timeless keepsake. Her documentary style shooting and storytelling allows you to relive your special moment. Being brought up in a culture where it was essential to “read between the lines”, she has developed the skill to observe closely and see what is below the surface. She always employs a respectful and honorable approach to the subject matter and event.
Her experience in live television enables her to work well under pressure and make creative decisions on the spot when faced with the unexpected. Her two years at the Stanford Documentary M. A. Program strengthened her storytelling capability. Her stories are well composed, stylized, and elegant; almost like a visual poetry.
In her spare time, she enjoys jazz dancing, kickboxing and yoga. She also has passion for cooking and has taught Japanese home style cooking at the local community center.
